Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says the coalition government is working diligently on Thar coal and solarisation projects to generate electricity in the country.

In a tweet, he said the projects will substantially bring down the cost of electricity and provide relief to citizens.

The Prime Minister said the massive Thar coal reserves offer a grand window of opportunity and occupy top place on the government’s agenda.

He said energy imports are the biggest item on our import bill and Pakistan cannot ensure its economic security with such a heavy reliance on energy imports whose prices have increased sharply.
