Lahore: Member National Assembly & PML-N Lahore President Pervez Malik has said that business community of Pakistan has always played significant role at all disastrous and testing times. They should come forward and help their internally displaced brothers who are sacrificing for us and helping Pakistan Armed Forces to remove the menace of terrorism.
He was addressing at a moot of traders here on Tuesday which was largely attended by the business doing people.MNA Waheed Alam, MPA Khawaja Imran Nazir, Chaudhry Gulzar Ahmed, Rana Mubashir and Khalid Qadri were prominent amongst the others.
Pervez Malik said that vigorous fund raising campaign has already been started by the Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif and all segments of society have joined this noble cause. He said that duties have been assigned to the members of national and provincial assemblies and representatives of business community.
He said that whole nation is standing with their ailing brothers and sisters in this testing time and would utilize all resources for their help.
He said that PML-N government is taking all possible measures to protect over 0.7 million IDPs by providing them shelter, food, water and other necessities of life. Practical work is well on the way through a comprehensive planning for effective help of IDPs. He said that this is a gigantic task therefore masses in general and business community in particular have to play a vital role in this regard.
PML-N leader said that students should also play a leading role in fund raising campaign for IDPs that would be helpful for overcoming this crisis. He said that foolproof strategy has been evolved to accelerate the process of help and rehabilitation of IDPs.
