LAHORE: Huawei Technologies, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, on Tuesday announced to sponsor Chinese language classes at the Islamabad Club, starting from 16th June to 15th August between 4pm to 6pm.
As part of its social initiatives, Huawei has taken this step to make summers more exciting for the people of Islamabad. The classes will involve the Club’s members and their children who will be sponsored by Huawei to participate in the Chinese language learning sessions.
Speaking on the occasion, Simon Geng, CEO Huawei said, “Learning a new language has always been the gateway into experiencing a culture of the country. Pakistan and China share brotherly relations with each other and being a Corporate Social Responsible Organization, Huawei would like to further strengthen this connection on a people to people level. The classes will enable participants to learn Chinese vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation, which will ultimately help them to master the language.”

Club management has received a very positive response from its members to date. Huawei plans to hold a graduation ceremony after the successful completion of this 2 month course at Islamabad Club. The students will be awarded with a Basic Level Chinese Language Certificate from the Confucius Institute of NUML University.
