Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq, has said that the issue of the IDPs from the tribal areas was the biggest issue facing the country and the nation and required foremost attention of the government. He was talking to the media after participating in a Jirga organized by the ANP at Islamabad to discuss the IDPs issue.
JUI (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Mehmud Khan Achakzai and Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, also attended. ANP chief Asfand Yar Wali, presided.
Sirajul Haq said that the leaders of different political and religious parties had gathered Monday to give a message to the IDPs affected by the operation Zarb e Azab that they fully realized their hardships, shared their grievances and wanted immediate solution to their problems.
The JI chief said that the meeting had decided that the tribal elders would themselves call a grand Jirga for the solution of the problems facing the families displaced by the operation.
Speaking on the occasion, Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that the IDPs issue was a humanitarian issue and should not be politicized.
He said that the whole nation should unite for solving this big issue.
