In his address, Patron-in-Chief Javed Hussain Butt said that Audit officers of the Inland Revenue are not being promoted despite clear instructions of the High Court and the FBR was using delaying tactics to give their due right to these officers.
The Association said that Sindh High Court in 2007 ordered the FBR to promote these officers in the next grade besides giving them matching authority but a lobby of high FBR officers was reluctant to implement the court orders and using delaying tactics.
He said that through a well thought conspiracy, 260 Audit Officers have been pushed to the wall as they would be facing financial and promotional loss.
The participants of the meeting appealed to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of the situation and pass orders to secure the rights of Audit Officers under the verdict of High Court.
