JI advices India to give up idea of demographic change in Kashmir

LAHORE: Deputy Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha, has said that the Kashmiris were offering their blood to foil the Indian designs to change the demography of Held Kashmir by establishing Hindu Pundits’ colonies and the Pakistan government should also take practical measures in support of the Kashmiris.

In a statement here on Monday, he said that thousands of Kashmiris under the leadership of Syed Ali Gilani had totally rejected the government of Narendera Modi and puppet regime in Srinagar by raising Pakistan flags and slogans of Pakistan Zindabad. He said the disputed character of Kashmir could not be altered in any way and there was no solution to the Kashmir issue except plebiscite in line with the UN Security Council resolutions.

Dr Farid Piracha counseled the Indian rulers to give up the idea of applying the Zionist formula involving altering the demography of the Kashmir through setting up colonies of Hindu Pundits. He said Kashmiri men, women and children were imbued with the spirit of liberation and joining Pakistan, and the sooner India read the writing on the wall, the better.
