Lahore: Federal Minister for Commerce, Government of Pakistan, Engr. Khurram Dastgir, has invited the Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA) to hold a meeting with him on May 4, 2015 (tomorrow) to deliberate the matters of 33rd Pakistan International Carpet Exhibition, turning it into a successful event like in the past.
Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA) has announced to hold this year’s Handmade Carpet Exhibition onOctober 6-9 2015 at Fletti’s Hotel, Lahore-Pakistan, in collaboration with TDAP.
The PCMEA delegation consisting of central chairman, Usman Ghani, SVC Qamar Zia, former chairman Major (r) Akhtar Nazir Cooki, former chairman Sheikh Khalid Saeed, CTI Chairman Saeed Khan and others will meet the minister on Monday and discuss all issues related to the upcoming exhibition.
Chairman PCMEA Usman Ghani said that we want to hold the exhibition in a way that it could provide an excellent opportunity of connecting in the areas of interest. The Exhibition would focus more to ensure huge participation of local people, new investors, students and general public in order to create awareness about the working and achievements of carpet industry, besides highlighting them about the targets achieved so far.
PCMEA SVC Qamar Zia said the Carpet Show 2015 would become the largest showcase of Pakistan’s handmade carpets.
Mr. Zia said carpet exhibition could help put the economy on track because fairs were the key to exhibit the untapped potentials of Pakistan and to introduce Pakistan’s products in the world market.
