LAHORE: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela-Inflows 16000 cusecs and Outflows 12000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 9600 cusecs and Outflows 9600 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla- Inflows 6800 cusecs and Outflows 8000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala- nflows 7400 cusecs and Outflows 7400 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah-Inflows 23900 cusecs and Outflows 20300 cusecs, Chashma -Inflows 15200 cusecs and Outflows 15000 cusecs, Taunsa- Inflows 19900 cusecs and Outflows 19900 cusecs, Panjnad- Inflows 11300 cusecs and Outflows 11300 Guddu- Inflows 28100 cusecs and Outflows 13200 cusecs, Sukkur- Inflows 9500 cusecs and Outflows 16700 cusecs, Kotri- Inflows 3200 cusecs and Outflows 3200 cusecs.
Reservoirs Level and Storage: Tarbela – dead level 1380 feet, present level 1470.64 feet, maximum level 1550.00 feet, live storage 2.455 million acre feet (MAF), Mangla – dead level 1040 feet, present level 1171.70 feet, maximum level 1242 feet, live storage 2.890 MAF, Chashma- dead level 637 feet, present level 639.00 feet, maximum level 649 feet, live storage 0.024 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 am.
