LAHORE: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela-Inflows 15000 cusecs and Outflows 15000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 12800 cusecs and Outflows 12800 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla- Inflows 7500 cusecs and Outflows 25000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala- Inflows 6400 cusecs and Outflows 5300 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah-Inflows 26300 cusecs and Outflows 26300 cusecs, Chashma -Inflows 33400 cusecs and Outflows 33400 cusecs, Taunsa- Inflows 24800 cusecs and Outflows 24800 cusecs, Panjnad- Inflows 12900 cusecs and Outflows 9900 Guddu- Inflows 32100 cusecs and Outflows 24900 cusecs, Sukkur- Inflows 23500 cusecs and Outflows 10100 cusecs, Kotri- Inflows 11600 cusecs and Outflows Nil cusecs.
Reservoirs’ Level and Storage: Tarbela – dead level 1380 feet, present level 1472.34 feet, maximum level 1550 feet, live storage 2.513 million acre feet (MAF), Mangla – dead level 1040 feet, present level 1165.70 feet, maximum level 1242 feet, live storage 2.623 MAF, Chashma- dead level 637 feet, present level 640 feet, maximum level 649 feet, live storage 0.038 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
