Position of the river inflows and outflows

LAHORE: Position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under: Rivers: Indus at Tarbela-Inflows 96800 cusecs and Outflows 45000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 70300 cusecs and Outflows 70300 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla- Inflows 75000 cusecs and Outflows 75000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala- Inflows 51300 cusecs and Outflows 26600 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah-Inflows 123300 cusecs and Outflows 115800 cusecs, Chashma -Inflows 113700 cusecs and Outflows 106500 cusecs, Taunsa- Inflows 92400 cusecs and Outflows 72700 cusecs, Panjnad- Inflows 63900 cusecs and Outflows 50500 cusecs, Guddu- Inflows 107900 cusecs and Outflows 96900 cusecs, Sukkur- Inflows 75500 cusecs and Outflows 34500 cusecs, Kotri- Inflows 22100 cusecs and Outflows Nil cusecs.

Reservoirs: Level and Storage: Tarbela- dead level 1380 feet, present level 1492.89 feet, maximum level 1550 feet, live storage 3.455 million acre feet (MAF), Mangla – dead level 1040 feet, present level 1208.45 feet, maximum level 1242 feet, live storage 4.932 MAF, Chashma- dead level 637 feet, present level 648.50 feet, maximum level 649 feet, live storage 0.264 MAF.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
