Lahore: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela-Inflows 17200 cusecs and Outflows 33000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 8700 cusecs and Outflows 8700 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla- Inflows 7900 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala- Inflows 6300 cusecs and Outflows 3000 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah- Inflows 60600 cusecs and Outflows 53100 cusecs, Chashma -Inflows 42300 cusecs and Outflows 40000 cusecs, Taunsa- Inflows 41900 cusecs and Outflows 32200 cusecs, Panjnad- Inflows 11200 cusecs and Outflows 6600, Guddu- Inflows 36700 cusecs and Outflows 30400 cusecs, Sukkur- Inflows 24900 cusecs and Outflows 900 cusecs, Kotri- Inflows 3600 cusecs and Outflows Nil cusecs.
Reservoirs’ Level and Storage: Tarbela – dead level 1380 feet, present level 1468.95 feet, maximum level 1550 feet, live storage 2.382 million acre feet (MAF) Mangla – dead level 1040 feet, present level 1175.05 feet, maximum level 1242 feet, live storage 3.048 MAF, Chashma- dead level 637 feet, present level 643.40 feet, maximum level 649 feet, live storage 0.102 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 am.
