LAHORE: Kashmir Solidarity day will be observed all over the country with traditional zeal under the aegis of the Jamaat e Islami with the resolve to continue the political and moral support to the Kashmiris freedom movement till they achieve their goal, says a release.
Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan as described by the Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah but had been under India’s unlawful occupation for the last six decades while the Kashmiris have been struggling for their right to self determination in accordance with the UN resolutions. Therefore, it was the moral and legal duty of the Pakistan government and people to support their just cause.
Rallies and public meetings will be held in major cities on the occasion and speakers drawn from different walks of life and political parties would speak on the salient features of the Kashmir issue and its importance for the country. Special prayers will be offered for the liberation of Kashmir at the mosques.
The main rally will be staged in the federal capital and Ameer, JI, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan will lead the rally and also address the participants. The rally at Karachi will be led by the JI Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch, JI Sindh chief, Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqui and JI Karachi chief, Hafiz Naemur Rahman.
At Muzaffarabad, the rally will be led by JI chief of Azad Kashmir, Abdur Rashid Turabi. The rally in the Punjab capital will be led by Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha, Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar and Mian Maqsood Ahmed.
The Peshawar rally will be led by JI deputy chief, Sirajul Haq, Prof. Ibrahim Khan, and Sahibzada Taraqullah. The Quetta rally will be led by Abdul Mateen Akhudzada and Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi.
JI’s sister organizations including Kissan Board Pakistan, Shabab e Milli, National Labour Organization, the Islami Jamiat e Talaba, and other political parties will also join the rally.
