JI flays Altaf’s statement for separate province

LAHORE: Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan Syed Munawar Hasan, has strongly condemned MQM chief Altaf Husain statement calling for a separate province for the Urdu speaking Sindhis. He said this was a deep conspiracy to create anarchy and split in the country.

In a statement, he urged the patriotic forces to take prompt notice of Altaf’s outburst.

Meanwhile, Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan and JI Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch, have strongly condemned the assassination of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat General Secretary, Islamabad, Mufti Munir Muawiya and said the increasing incidents of terrorism and subversion in the federal capital should be a matter of concern for the government.

In a joint statement, they said, for quite some time, foreign powers had been conspiring for sectarian clashes in Pakistan while Black Water, RAW and Mosad agents had the agenda to push the country into civil war through sectarian tension. Therefore, he said, it was imperative for the government to adopt effective measures to foil the enemy designs and bring together the Ulema and leaders from all schools of thought and sects to forge national unity.
