Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah says law and order situation has improved in the province and time has come for police to take responsibility from army and Rangers.
He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of a police facilitation center in Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister said maintaining peace in the cities is a burden on the armed forces and Rangers as they have also to perform other responsibilities.
He said a decision has been at the last meeting of the apex committee after detailed discussions that police will take over the control in a phased way from the army and Rangers.
