Islamabad: A special meeting of the National Committee on Examination System (NCES) was organized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) to finalize Policy Guidelines for Implementation of Uniform Semester Examination System in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of Pakistan.
As many as 40 eminent educationists and administrators from HEC and different universities across Pakistan attended the meeting. The participants reviewed and developed policy guidelines for uniform implementation of semester system so that examination system may come at par with international standards.

Once the Sub-committees of NCES forward their recommendations for finalization of policy guidelines, the same will be disseminated to the Degree Awarding Institutions (DAIs) of Pakistan for implementation.
