Patrol paucity irks consumers

SIALKOT: The people suffered great ordeal due to paucity of patrol, diesel and CNG gas in district’s all the four Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils, as the shortage of patrol remained continued for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. There was no CNG gas due to closure by the government. Especially, the students of the government and private educational institutions and the thousands of the industrial workers of the local factories suffered from great difficulties in their transportation as their transport vehicles remained stuck due to non-availability of CNG gas, diesel and patrol.

Meanwhile, all the patrol filling stations remained closed, as they observed complete shutter down strike in district’s all the four Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils for the acceptance of their demands including the increase of their profits in POL products.

The main reason behind this patrol paucity was stated to be the recent big decline in POL prices by the federal government, due to which the owners of the filling stations kept their filling stations closed, displaying that the no patrol was available due to which the stations were closed.

The people cursed the owners of the filling stations and government for critical situation. The perturbed people have urged the Commissioner Gujranwala Division Khawaja Shamail Ahmed and Sialkot DCO Iftikhar Ali Sahu to take notice for giving early relief to the consumers.
