Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has said that Pakistan and India have agreed to resolve all the outstanding issues through dialogue.
Talking to media here Monday‚ he termed the recent Pakistan-India Director General Military Operations meeting successful and as significant progress for the New Year. He said that the success of the DGMOs meeting is a great diplomatic achievement of the government.
To a question‚ The Information Minister said that the government is making all out efforts to uplift the living standard of the people of the country.
He said that Prime Minister has issued special directives to remove the hurdles in the Youth Loan Scheme. He said that a loan seeker can get guarantee from more than one guarantor. He said if the loan seeker has sufficient assets then there is no need of guarantee in that case. He said now the relatives of the loan seeker can also give guarantee for that person.
To a question about former President Pervez Musharraff‚ the Information Minister said that people have already given a verdict about him and now the judiciary will decide his fate.
To a question‚ the Information Minister said that use of force by the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf workers in Karachi is highly objectionable. He said that PTI workers are not being trained in line with the democratic values. He said the political parties should protest in a democratic way. He said PTI should adopt democratic way for pressing for their demands.
Pervaiz Rashid said that Tahirul Qadri‚ the chief of Minhajul Quran‚ should return to the country from Canada if he wants to serve people.
Earlier‚ addressing the concluding ceremony of celebrations of Ashra-e-Quaid in Islamabad‚ the Information Minister said that Quaid-e-Azam always stressed to resolve issues through dialogue. He said certain forces have tried to distort the message of founder of nation.
The Minister said Muhammad Ali Jinnah through his political wisdom succeeded to safeguard rights of Muslims of South Asia.
Speaking on the occasion‚ Leader of the House in Senate Raja Zafarul Haq said that media must play its due role to highlight the teachings of Quaid-e-Azam. He said following the teachings of Quaid we can meet the challenges of the new era.
