Peshawar: KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak while strongly condemning the attack of miscreants on the mobile police van in the jurisdiction of Police Station Chamkani has announced payment of compensation to the families of the martyred and injured police jawans under Martyrs Package with immediate effect.
He has however expressed satisfaction that a terrorist has also been killed in the retaliatory firing of the brave police jawans, which will help in putting the inquiry in right direction and reaching to the network of terrorism son.
Pervez Khattak while expressing sorrow over the tragic incident has announced a compensation of Rs.3 million for each of the two police martyrs and directed the authorities for immediate payment of the amount.
Similarly, the legal heirs of the martyred police jawans will also receive whole salaries till their retirement while their children will be provided free education and recruitment of one member of their families with immediate effect. He also announced the payment of compensation to the injured police jawan under the martyrs package and provision of free treatment for him.
The Chief Minister said that this petty amount is no alternate for human life, but it is a little effort on behalf of the government to share the grief of the people. Paying tributes to police personnel for sacrificing their lives in the line of duty, he said the whole police force of the province is battling terrorism and foiled several subversive attempts of terrorism and had played crucial role in bringing improvement in law and order situation.
He expressed the hope that police will play its role along with the people and government to bring the province out of the prevailing difficult situation. He said that objective behind attack on security force is to demoralize them, which he said will not be allowed by government and nation.
Pervez Khattak directed launching of effective crackdown against the miscreants involved in the incident. He also prayed for the eternal peace of the martyred jawans and early recovery of the injured. He expressed heartiest sympathies with the bereaved families.
