Peshawar: KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has congratulated the Pakistani nation especially the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the start of the holy month of Ramzan and has appealed for extending maximum financial help of the IDPs of North Waziristan Agency (NWA) who, he said, are compelled to live under open sky in scorching heat of summer days. In a message of Ramzan greetings, he said that Islam besides asking for spiritual purification also emphasizes on rights of the fellow people and promoting the spirit of fraternity and brotherhood.
Pervez Khattak said that millions of IDPs including women, children and aged have to keep fasting in hot summer days. Hence he appealed the people especially the philanthropists to generously donate for IDPs while such donations can also be deposited in the Chief Minister KP fund for Assistance of IDPs (NWA) account no.G12353-2014 in any branch of BoK.
Similarly he asked the people of Bannu and other FATA bordering districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to accommodate the IDPs in their homes but never escalate the rents but reduce it considerably or exempt them from rents so that their miseries can be mitigated during their few weeks or months stay as IDPs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Chief Minister further hoped that people from all walks of life will have to avoid social evils of telling lies, fraud, hoarding, profiteering, adulteration and price hike. Similarly he said that this holy month also urged the need of ending the wrong traditions of enmity, hatred, disputes, prejudice and revenge but to adopt the attitude of forgiveness for good in Muslim society.
