Ex- CM’s brother given for 10 days in NAB’s custody

Peshawar: The Accountability Court of Peshawar on Wednesday accepted the request of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and awarded physical remand of Ameer Ghazan Hoti, brother of the former CM Khyber Pukhtunkhwa.

NAB Khyber Pukhtunkhwa presented Ghazan Hoti, brother of former chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, who is a co-accused in arms scandal case in accountability court of Ibrahim Khan and sought his physical remand.

However the Ghazan’s counsels opposing the remand argued before the court that their client was being involved in the case on political grounds. the further argued that reference had been filed and the investigation had also been completed therefore there was no need to arrest Ghazan in the case..

The NAB argued before the court that brother of the former CM is accused of receiving commission Rs195 million in arms purchase therefore 14 day physical remand is needed of the accused to interrogate him.

After listening arguments, Judge Ibrahim Khan remanded Ghazan to NAB for 10-day physical remand.

Other co-accused former IGP and Raza Ali, another relative of Ghazan Hotti are also under arrest in the same scandal. Peshawar High Court had also rejected their bail application in the case.
