Government has placed emphasis on digitization of land records to turn around quality of land records


Peshawar: In order to turn around the quality of land records and improve services, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has placed great emphasis on digitization of land records and sale transactions.

The process has been initiated in seven districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to replace the age old manual patwar system so as to facilitate the general public to obtain copies of their landed properties.

Amongst the above districts Mardan was targeted to be completed in the shortest possible time, which has been achieved to a great extent. State-of-the-art Service Delivery Centres have been established in district Mardan for updating digitized record and undertake transactions related to land, revealed a letter of the Board of Revenue Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
