Healthy competitions contributes rise of nations, Inayatullah

Peshawar: KP Senior Minister for Local Govt, Elections and Rural Development (LGE&RD) Inayatullah Khan has said that healthy competitions contributed rise of nations while sports always inculcated spirit of healthy competition in students. “KP govt endeavours to promote sports at all levels and the public as well as private institutions are fully encouraged for this purpose”, he added.

He was addressing concluding ceremonies of Sports Gala of Private Schools Management Association (PSMA) at Mardan Sports Complex and National Songs Competition at AFAQ Academic Institute in Mardan.

It was also addressed by PSMA president Naseer Afridi, General Secretary Taj Malook, Tournament Organizer Tariq Ameen, Tehsil Naib Nazim Mushtaq Seemab and other educationists who also highlighted importance of curricular and co-curricular activities.

Inayatullah eulogized role of PSMA for introducing new talent from towns and villages of Mardan as well as announced donation of Rs one lakh for its encouragement. He while assuring all out cooperation of his govt in such healthy activities also asked the teachers and institutions to focus attention on character building of students through such healthy activities.

Senior Minister said Pakistan especially KP is replete with talent and resources. He said our players, doctors, engineers and artists have always earned good name for the country in comity of nations. He said the only need was to give right direction to our youth and able leadership to exploit the abundant talent and natural resources in larger interest of the nation.

He said KP govt was embarking upon a well conceived plan to promote the hidden potentials of our youth and tap the natural resources in various sectors including hydel energy, oil, gas, communication, agriculture and irrigation in scientific manner. Earlier he distributed prizes and shields among the winning players and students in both these functions.
