Inayat announces huge salary grant for Batkhela TMA


Peshawar: The KP Senior Minister for Local Government Inayatullah Khan has announced a grant of Rs. Two crore twenty eight lac for TMA Batkhela, aiming early payment of salaries and other liabilities to the employees immediately. He made this announcement during a meeting with the employees of TMA, arranged by Ex MNA Bakhtiar Maani on Monday at Malakand.

On this occasion Secretary Local Council Board, Syed Zafar Ali Shah, Ex MNA Bakhtiar Maani, officers and officials of Local Government department and employees of TMA Batkhela and Dargai were also present.

The Provincial Minister also informed the meeting that district council Malakand would get Rs.788000000/- as developmental budget this year wherein huge amount had already been released. He also announced that Rs. 42 billion are being distributed to all the district councils of the Province.

The Local Government Minister has disclosed that a special endowment fund with Rs. Five crore is being established to support the local bodies system in future, whenever, it faces financial crises. He informed the department that the special grants are meant for only three years. During this period they have to plan for regular fund raising to bear its expenditure in future.

Inayat Ullah Khan informed the employees of local government that work was in progress on service structure and that would be implemented in one year positively, while he directed the concerned authorities to immediately implement the one step promotion decision of the provincial government in local government department. He directed the TMA Batkhela to process the case of establishing modern bus terminal in Batkhela so as to include the same in non developmental projects.

He said that in this department a technical wing was established wherein the posts of chief engineer, engineers and sub-engineers are created and sixty sub-engineers were recently appointed for this purpose.

While criticizing the poor performance of TMAs, the provincial Minister directed that the encroachment abolition campaign of the provincial government must be speed up and he would check the results, in this connection after a month.
