Peshawar: In order to beef-up the security of Kohat District and ensure the safety of lives and properties of citizens, increase in number of security personnel on all sensitive points in the surroundings of the entire district has been approved and formal directives to this effect were issued to the quarters concerned.
This approval was given in a meeting, held with Commissioner Kohat Division, Syed Jamal-ud-Din Shah in the chair in Kohat on Friday.
The meeting beside others was also attended by the DPO Kohat Salim Khan Marwat, SP Investigation Muhammad Bashir, ACR Haider Hussain and authorities concerned of the security agencies. The meeting also reviewed the security of local VIPs and certrain decisions were made in this regard.
Commissioner Kohat Division clarified that there would be no compromise on law and order situation and no leniency in this respect would be tolerated. Therefore the security agencies should make fullproof security arrangements and no one be allowed to harm the prevailing peaceful atmosphere, he added.
Keeping in view the present critical situation, the security agencies be on high alert and show zero tolerance to the miscreants, he directed.
Mr. Shah maintained that the policy of Provincial Government regarding law and order was crystal clear and there was no space for negligence adding that those showing lethargy, would be dealt sternly.
