Minister lauds the role of  BoK in economic stability of province


Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health Shaukat Ali Yousafzai has lauded the role of the Bank of Khyber in economic stability of the province and said inspite the worst terrorism and other challenges, the services of the said bank were highly appreciable.

Emphasizing the restoration of peace for national development, he said the peaceful dialogue was the only solution of terrorism but unfortunately seriousness was not shown from both the sides i.e., the Government and Taliban. He said the Federal Government should adopt clear strategy to make the ongoing negotiations process successful.

This he said while addressing the oath taking ceremony of Employees Workers Union of the Bank of Khyber in Peshawar. Managing Director, Bank of Khyber, President Union, General Secretary, Managing committee, divisional heads, officers and workers attended the ceremony. Managing Director, of the Bank of Khyber and the President of Union highlighted the role of bank and briefed the minister about issues and problems being faced by the said bank as well as the union.

Provincial Minister Shaukat Ali Yousafzai assured that he would try his level best to resolve the problems and would motivate the provincial departments to deposit their funds in the Bank of Khyber. He also lauded the coordination and pleasant relations between the Bank and its Union and congratulated the whole team for their services to the people.

Shaukat Yousafzai said the province was facing the worst terrorism since last decade which had badly affected the provincial institutions. He said the situation needed to be taken seriously. He further stated that PTI leadership and present provincial government have always supported the negotiation process  and would continue its assistance in this regard. He urged Federal Government to adopt clear strategy to protect the nation.
