Peshawar: Member National Assembly of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) who is also Patron-in-Chief of Pakistan Hindu Council (PHC), Dr.Ramesh Kumar Vankwani on Monday discussed problems of minorities with the provincial government.
Dr. Ramesh Kumar while addressing a news conference at Press Club said he visited Peshawar to discuss the security arrangements of worship places of minorities with provincial government as Supreme Court of Pakistan has already ordered this.
Hesaid said IGPs and Chief Secretaries of all four provinces were already directed on January on January 13, 2015 to hold meetings about the security arrangements and share details with federal government.
“besides security arrangements jobs quota for minorities and registration of all Temples and Churches in the province are also discussed with KP government,” he said.
He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has implemented 3 per cent job quota however government assured that five per cent quota in jobs for minorities would be implemented soon.
MNA said provincial government is also ready to hand over the Shri Param Hans Ji Mahraj Samadhi (Mazar) to Hindu community.
To a question, he said provincial government would collect details of all Temples, Churches and Dharam Shalas in the province to resolve their security issues.
