Peshawar: Amir Jamat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq has said that Pakistan and Afghanistan should forget the past and strengthen their bilateral relationship which is very important for the peace of both the countries.
Talking to media at Markaz-e-Islami on Thursday Sirajul Haq said that Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has invited him to visit Afghanistan therefore Jamat-e-Islami has accepted the invitation and he along with a delegation will visit Afghanistan in mid of June.
During his visit, Siraj said that meetings with different political parties and Afghan leadership would be held to discuss matters related to peace and prosperity of both the countries.
Siraj said cordial relationship of both the countries would plug the ways of Indian interference in Afghanistan therefore JI had welcomed the previous visit of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Pakistani leadership to Afghanistan.
For durable and brotherly relation between the two countries could further be cemented through exchange political delegations and visits of youth to both the countries. He said Pakistan should give maximum facilities to Afghan students in Pakistani institutions as India has been trying to invite them to their institutions.
He said that Pakistani government should take notice of ill treatment with Afghan refugees in various parts of the country saying that more than 4 million Afghans had stayed for three decades in Pakistan and now when they would go bad treatment with Afghans will not be good for the future relationship of Pakistan.
