Peshawar: A six member delegation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Writers Association (KPSWA) will leave for Dubai on 24th November to cover the T-20 cricket series will be played between Pakistan and England.
The six members of KPSWA including Tariq Mehmood of Dunya News, Ihtesham Basheer, Express News, Sajjad Hussain, a chief reporter of daily Jehad, Tahir Munir Awan, a senior journalist from Abbottabad, Zeeshan Liaqat, a photographer and Safi Ullah, a reporter of daily Ayeen will stay in Dubai for seven days.
It is worth mentioning here that it is the second international tour being arranged by the KPSWA for its members which will be fruitful in the promotion of sports and especially for the sports journalist of the war affected province.
Before leaving, the delegation met with the president Peshawar Press Club (PPC), Syed Bukhari Shah Bacha, President Khyber Union of Journalists (KhUJ), Nisar Mahmood and President KPSWA Jahanzeb Siddiq here on at press club on Monday.
Applauding the performance of KPSWA, PPC president said that it was first time in the history that KPSWA arranging international visits for the sports writers of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which was an unprecedented achievement of the sport association.
The KhUJ president assured full support to the delegation and vowed that a ceremony would be organized in the honour of the members of sports writers association, after their return from international tour.
Jahanzeb Sadique on the occasion said that KPSWA would bring all kind of its resources for the promotion of sports journalism and also arrange national as well as international tours for the association members. At the end of the meeting he thanked to both presidents of journalists community for their support and cooperation.
