Speakers demand full arrangements for peace in  Kurram agency

Peshawar: Speakers while addressing a seminar titled  ‘Shuhda-e-Para Chinar’ have alleged that in presence of  some private militia, RAW agents and due  interference of other secret agencies of neighbouring countries it has almost impossible for Temporarily displaced persons (TDPs)  to return their respective areas therefore asking the government to make proper arrangements for peace before return of TDPs.

The seminar organized by of Kurram Youth Agency (KYA) at Peshawar Press Club on Monday was addressed by ex-member  national assembly (MNA) Munir Orakzai, Haji Habib Jan, Mohammad Rahim and president of KYA Haji Ataullah and others.

The said that people of have faced a huge massacre and human tragedy in 2007 after which the oppressed people were compelled to go out from the agency and seek refuge at safer places.

They alleged that external forces had been meddling in the agency with the aim to spoil the atmosphere of the agency. “Several of them have been arrested by law enforcement agencies as there are videos of their mingling the situation in Para Chinar”, they claimed.

They said that government was not interested to solve the problems of the people  and provide assistance to the TDPs who, they said, were financially not in position to construct their damaged houses and re-start their normal life.

They said that among the TDPs there were orphans, widows and other war affected people who were in dire need of government assistance. They demanded full-fledged military operation in Kurram agency (Para Chinar) on the patron of   Malakand.
