Peshawar: Tribal Union of Journalists (TUJ) on Monday staged a demonstration to protest against the government for not solving their problems the last several years.
Led by TUJ president Mehbub Shah Afridi, the protestors carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans, and marched outside the Press Club on Monday.
The speakers recalled that the previous and sitting government, tribal parliamentarians, national and international journalists organizations, have ignored the tribal journalists enhancing sense of deprivation among them.
They complained that the tribal journalists were receiving threats forcing many to leave their areas for safety. They asked the president, prime minister and PTI chairman Imran Khan to solve their problems.
