Peshawar: Chairman DDAC Swat Fazal Hakim Khan chaired a meeting of officers of C & W and Irrigation Departments at his office on Monday. Explaining the progress of work carried out by C & W Road Division, XEN Sajjad Haider disclosed that Mulla Baba steel bridge project will be completed with a cost of Rs.1 Crore 87 lacs up to 30th June this year before its stipulated time.
While Kana Baba road measuring 1 K.M has already been completed with a cost of Rs.1 Crore which has also been completed one year before its completion date.
However, XEN Irrigation Wasim Malik while briefing the meeting said that the project of Mingora, Jambeel, Marghazar Khwar including removal of solid waste, widening, retaining walls and reelings is under way with a cost of Rs.20 Crores.
This includes 21100 feet area of Jambeel Khwar, Marghazar Khwar and down stream of Mingora and will be completed in 2 years instead of 3 years completion period.
Similarly he said that the construction work of Sunehree Masjid BridgeBunr with a cost of Rs.50 lacs will start very soon. He further informed the meeting that the project of retaining walls on sides of Khwar at villages Shagai, Akhun Baba,Gulkada,Panr, Bangladesh and Rahim Abad will be completed in 2 years instead of 3 years with a cost of Rs.8 crores.
Addressing the meeting, Chairman DDAC said that the motherland was like real mother of every citizen, therefore we all should treat official funds as a sacred trust and should ensure the best quality of construction work in every development scheme big or small.
