Peshawar: The Elementary & Secondary Education Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has set up complaint cell in two districts Mardan and Swabi to address public complaints.
Provincial Ministers Muhammad Atif Khan and Shehram Khan Taraqqi Monday inaugurated the two cells that would be extended to other parts of the province as well.
The cell would take action against the absent teachers, unavailability of facilities at schools, and others complaints to be lodged via telephone, fax and email.
Minister for E&S Education Muhammad Atif Khan said that the purpose of the cells is not only to hear the public complaints but to bring improvement in education sector.
Provincial Minister for Information Technology Shehram Khan Taraqqi said the cells had been equipped with modern technology to record public complaints without any delay and proper action accordingly.
He said such system would also be provided at other government institutions to bring change in the system and make it corruption free, adding that chances of corruption would be lessen with the use of modern technology.
