Minister expressed to remove the 67 years deprivation of the people of Shangla


Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health, Shaukat Ali Yousafzai has expressed his commitment to remove the 67 years deprivation of the people of Shangla and said that he would leave no stone unturned for developing District Shangla neglected in the past.

This he said while chairing a meeting with the XENs Irrigation, Public Health and C&W from Shangla at Peshawar on Wednesday. In the meeting the XENs briefed the Minister about the progress of projects under their respective departments for the betterment of Shangla.

The XEN Irrigation informed the Minister about the progress of protection wall in Khan More and water scheme. He informed 3 inch pipe had been approved in this regard and the consultant PC-I was also ready, the work would start very soon.

XEN C&W while briefing about the construction of roads informed that consultant had completed the survey on 8 KM road from Molsar to Kirai, which would be ready for inauguration till next month.

The Health Minister on this occasion said the standard should be maintain in construction of roads. He said that road from Kormung to Hawalye would be constructed on the pattern of highway which would be inaugurated next month.

He further stated that people of Shangla would not be suffered any more as fruitful initiatives were being taken to tackle the issues of public regarding health, education, water and other sectors of life.

He assured that free medical services would be available soon in the district and Tehsil Hospital of Shangla while he had already issued directives to send more doctors to the said hospitals.

Shaukat Yousafzai said that all possible measures would be taken to redress the issues being faced by the poor people of District Shangla and directed concerned to take serious steps in this regard.
