Peshawar: A remote controlled bomb blast kills security personnel of Khyber Khasadar Force in Khyber area of Landikotal here on Thursday morning. The killed KKF personnel were identified as Ilyas Khan and his injured brother KKF Subedar was identified as Samar Khan.
The bomb had been placed near his car where he used to park his car in Khyber area of Sadu Khel, sources said. Abdullah Azam Brigade , a local militant group claimed responsibility for the blast and warned to carry on more in future to target security forces in Landikotal.
The injured Subedar Samar and his brother were rushed to hospital in Landikotal where his brother Ilyas Khan succumbed to his deep wounds, hospital sources said.
The authorities of the administration gave one lakh cash to the wounded subedar for the burial of his dead brother. The explosion was heard in the surrounding areas. So far no body has been arrested in the incident involved or alleged, sources said.
Meanwhile eight NATO back load supply trucks reached Torkham border where they were parked for custom clearance, sources said. The Torkham administration assigned the duty to KKF personnel to protect the backload supply convoy on the way back to Peshawar. This is the first ever back load supply from Afghan side after the PTI workers have started sit in at Peshawar ring road to protest against the drone strikes in FATA.
