Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Special Assistant to CM for Minerals Development, Zia Ullah Afridi has said that there is no shortage of natural resources in this province. Therefore the present government will utilize these resources with unique strategy for economic stability of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He expressed these views in his two days visit to Chitral. Member of provincial assembly Ishtiaq Urmarh, Secretary Minerals, Mian Waheed Uddin, DG Minerals, Mustafa Kamal and Director Exploration Shakir Ullah was also present on this occasion. Ziaullah Afridi reviewed minerals and minings in Garam Chashma, Shah Ghoor, Kamal Gul and Droosh in detail.
He said that the residents of Chitral were facing hurdles for being situated at far-flung therefore the office of Director Mineral Development will be established at Chitral. He said through using information technology, the precious minerals in the province could easily be explored, new scientific techniques for exploring these minerals could also be used. He said the same process would ensure that these precious assets were not wasted and the minerals could be extracted from mines safely.
