Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations, Shah Farman said on Thursday that the provincial government was fully aware of activities of local and international NGOs working in the province and had kept vigilant eye over them.
In a statement issued here today Shah Farman said the performance of the NGOs was being scrutinized through a transparent mechanism and there should be no suspicion and ambiguity in regard government strict vigil over activities of NGOs. He said NGOs in the past had fully assisted the provincial government in need hours and had extended their full support in the welfare schemes initiated by the government for the people of the province.
However, he warned that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would take stern action against those NGOs found involved in anti state and anti people activities. He said that after scrutiny of the performance of the NGOs, the government would formulate its future line of action.
