Karachi: Vic-Chancellor Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) Karachi Prof Dr Tariq Rafi on Monday said first batch Pharm-D (5-year program) course is beginning from 1st January 2014.
He told PPI here that Sindh Medical College was upgraded as varsity in 2012 and its first batch of Pharm-D program would be starting from 1st January. He said 100 students (girls and boys) would be enrolled in this program.
He informed the university had received 500 admission forms so far. He said admission test would be held on next Sunday.
He said there is great demand of pharmacy degree holders in local and international market. He said JSMU has started Pharm-D program keeping in view its market demand. He said MPhil and PhD programs would be introduced soon in pharmacy.
He said JSMU administration is also planning to introduce Medical Education Courses to enhance the skills of doctors.
