KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines PIA on the second day of its Hajj Operation operated three special hajj flights while carrying around 1100 Hujjaj to the Holy Land.
On Tuesday, PIA’s PK2103 flight carrying 328 Hujjaj left Islamabad at 5.20 AM, from Peshawar PK2601 carrying 265 at 9.20AM and from Lahore PK2303 took off at 7.20 PM carrying 500 pilgrims to Jeddah. The departure and arrival of all flights was on time
PIA Spokesperson said here that till now the total uplift of intending pilgrims stand at 2700 by seven hajj flights. So far, one Hajj flight from Karachi carried 276, two flights from Lahore 1,001; two flights from Islamabad 809; one flight from Peshawar 265 and one flight from Quetta carried 327 Hujjaj to Saudi Arabia.
On Wednesday, 11th September, a total of five special flights are scheduled to operate; two from Islamabad, and one each from Peshawar, Karachi and Quetta, PIA Spokesperson concluded.
