KARACHI: General Secretary Pakistan People’s Party Sindh, Taj Haider has directed the aspiring PPP candidates for local government elections to submit their nominations forms to the Election Commission.
Candidates have to clearly mention in the nomination form the category of the seat in the Union Council/Union Committee i.e. General Seat or reserved seat for ladies/minority/labour/peasant. Candidates should also make sure that the required documents and other conditions printed on nomination forms are duly completed.
Separate forms have to be filled for those contesting for Member District Councils and Wards seats.
Haider directed the District Parliamentary Boards to constitute panels of PPP candidates for Union Councils/ Union Committees as also to recommend names for members of District Councils and Wards from among the candidates whose nomination forms are accepted by the Election Commission after the final scrutiny on the 5th January 2014.
