Sialkot, November 02, 2021 (PPI-OT):On November 02, 2021, Mian Imran Akbar, President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed Mirza Fawad Ali, Senior Director Commercial, DHL Pakistan and Mr. Usman Wali, Senior Director Operations, DHL Pakistan on their visit to Sialkot Chamber.

Mian Imran Akbar highlighted the various impediments faced by the business community of Sialkot, including radical increase in freight charges, lag in lead time, volumetric measurement adjustments, addition of miscellaneous surcharges, unjustified import duties and various other affairs as reported to Sialkot Chamber precedingly.

The President, SCCI requested Mr. Fawad to provide practical solutions to the problems faced by the exporters of Sialkot and also to introduce special package for SMEs to remain competitive in the international markets by reducing freight charges and increasing the quality of the service provided by DHL to export Sector in Sialkot.

Mian Imran Akbar appreciated the support rendered by DHL Express to exporters carrying small to large volume of shipments and delivering the export consignments even during the peak of Covid-19 to support economy and facilitate exporters of the country. The meeting was attended by office bearers, members of executive committee SCCI and key business personnel of Sialkot.
