Islamabad, August 05, 2021 (PPI-OT):Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed says law and order will be ensured at all costs during Muharram and the Federal Government will provide all possible resources and facilitation in this regard. He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad today (Thursday) regarding the law and order situation during Muharram.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said civil armed forces will be deployed to assist local administration in maintaining law and order situation. He said special steps will be taken for the security of sensitive areas. The Minister said he will visit provincial headquarters to review law and order arrangements. He said measures will be taken to promote religious harmony during Muharram. Representatives of the law enforcement agencies of the Federal Government, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan also attended the meeting.
