30 armed men killed in operation: Home Minister

QUETTA: Security forces smashed 10 Ferrari camps in Kalat area killing 30 armed men involved in killing people by attacks on trains, bomb explosions and target killings. Ten security forces personnel were also injured in the operation. No one would be tolerated to challenge writ of the government.

This was stated by Provincial Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti at a briefing at his office here Monday. Provincial Secretary Home Asad Gilani was also present.

He told Newsmen that 10 Ferraris camps existed in Parot area of Kalat where planning was made for target killing, attacks on trains in Sibi and Mach and FC posts. He said a search operation was launched this morning in which heavy arms and ammunition was also seized.

Answering a question he said helicopters were used for logistic support in the operation. A helicopter made emergency landing due to technical fault in which three persons including a Colonel was injured.

He said it was being ascertained who were living at the camps located at the border of Khuzdar and Kalat. However RAW funded people were working. He said this operation was confined to Kalat only.

He said that attackers on trains in Sibi and Mach, security forces and those challenging writ of the government would be dealt with iron hand.
