ATC indicts Musharraf, others in Bugti murder case


QUETTA: Anti Terrorism Court headed by Aftab Lone indicted former President Pervez Musharraf and others including former interior minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, former Home Minister Shoaib Nosherwani in Nawab Bugti murder case here Wednesday.

Court called witnesses from prosecution and said from February 4 case would be heard on daily basis.

It is added here that Jamil Bugti son of Nawab Akbar Bugti has registered a case of murder of his father Nawab Akbar Bugti in 2009 in which former President Pervez Musharraf, former interior minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, former home minister Shoaib Nosherwni and the then Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani were nominated.

During hearing the case here today, Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, Shoaib Nosherwani presented in person.

Zeeshan Cheema Lawyer of Pervez Mushrraf and his two guarantors also appeared before the court. Zeeshan Cheema presented medical report of Pervez Musharraf before the court. Learned Judge expressed anger for not forming medical board and said why medical board was not constituted. He ordered DG health Balochistan to appear on next hearing.

Judge anti Terrorism Court Aftab Lone had a break of one hour. When the court resumed again Judge read order of indictment of Pervez Musharraf, Aftab Sherpao and Shoaib Nosherwani. Charges were denied.

Learned judge while calling prosecution witnesses adjourned the case till February 4 and said it would be heard on daily basis.
