BISE declares SSC exam result


QUETTA: Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Quetta declared SSC Annual Examination 2014 results Wednesday. Briefing Newsmen at Board Office here today Chairman BISE Saadullah Khan Tokhi said that overall top three positions were clinched by boys from Balochistan Residential College (BRC) Loralai.

He said Javed Khan Roll no 27657 stood first by securing 939 marks.

Second position was obtained jointly by Obedullah roll no 27641 and Humayun Khan Roll no 27656. They got 927 marks each.

Ahmed Ali Shah Roll no 27667 remained third. He bagged 925 marks.

He said overall 91523 candidates appeared for the examination. Of these 76408 got through placing pass percentage at 83.49.

He said in Science Group 78551 candidates appeared and 66930 passed. Pass percentage stood at 85.21.

In Humanities group 9478 candidates came out success of the total of 12972. Pass percentage remained 73.07.

BISE Chairman said 353 candidates using unfair means during the examination were caught from different centres in Kohlu, Barkhan, Zhob, Killa Saifullah.

Similarly 449 impersonators were also caught who were appearing in place of original candidates. Two hundred and sixty six candidates were caught while cheating. Thus a total of 1915 candidates were caught who were punished and their results were abolished.

Answering a question said about 1000 staff was employed for the examination at a total of 277 centres.

Answering another question he said examination had commenced on February 18 and ended on March 29. Thus it took two months and 20 days to compile and announce the result.
