CM speaks


QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said all efforts would be made to improve education in the province. We have destroyed education in the province and our children go to school for 120 days in 365 days.

He was addressing oath taking ceremony of professors and lecturers Association and talking to Newsmen here Friday.

Dr Malik said nations who ignored education met with ultimate failure and destroyed. He aid we have to change society and for it is necessary we should pay attention on education. He said according to a survey we send our children to schools for 120 days during 365. If need be we do not refrain from locking out schools and observing strikes. He said due to non attention on education it has destroyed in the province. He however vowed the way we destroyed our education we would improve it as well.

He said it is our desire 400 to 500 youth should be PhD degree holders and ready to serve education. He said there is no threat to Balochistan from any other thing but it is illiteracy a big hurdle in our way.

He said we should sit together to make province education-friendly. We would open more schools and college in the province than in Punjab and make our young M Phil and PhD holders.

He said till now bribe was taken for appointment of teachers in Public Service commission but this would not happen anymore.

Replying to a question Chief Minister said that he accompanied Prime Minister during his visit to London about improvement of education and it was not aimed at meeting with angry Baloch or about law and order. He said provincial government would adopt all possible measures for improving education and bring Balochistan at par with developing countries of the world.
