QUETTA: No office other than secretaries has significance in provincial governments therefore they should be role models.
This was stated by new Balochistan Chief Secretary Saifullah Chattha while addressing introductory meeting with provincial secretaries here Wednesday.
He has served at various posts in Balochistan including Sibi, Jaffarabad, Loralai, and civil secretariat. He said provincial secretaries were working very well and he desires them to work still better mutually. He said work should be done as per directives and policy of Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch under law and rules and target should be fixed and achieved. He appreciated performance of secretaries and directed to improve it further.
New Chief Secretary said law and order and security is topmost in the province and we have to control it with force and boldly. Service to masses is our duty and we have to work in a way government o today when goes to the people tomorrow it is with raised head.
He said Ramzan is month of blessings. Increase in prices during this holy month should be stopped and action should be taken against those involved in violation. He said during this month office hours are short therefore efforts should be made secretaries should remain present in their offices and strictly follow office timings. Attendance, discipline and cleanliness should be ensured. He said he would also visit secretaries offices.
He said he would take briefings of all departments about their performance. It would be his effort secretaries committee meets every month regularly. It would lead to Unity command.
Chief Secretary summoned a meeting on law and order immediately.
