QUETTA: Deputy Commissioner Quetta Captain (R ) Farrukh Atiq has said that all departments have been alerted in view of monsoon rains so that population dwelling in low lying areas and along the banks of streams and nullahs could be shifted to safer places. Control rooms have been established at the DC Office and PDMA office.
He said this while addressing a meeting here Saturday.
He told that on the directives of Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri all the departments have been put on alert in view of monsoon rains. Directives have been issued for shifted population living along streams and nullahs and in low lying areas to safer places. He said administration and PDMA are in contact for any possible emergency. Emergency Control Room established at DC Office has been directed to remain in contact with concerned department and PDMA control room. Moreover Revenue staff would continue informing DC Complex control room on the situation of low lying areas and stream and nullahs.[related_post themes="text" id="316569"]
