QUETTA: Federal Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has said that federal government in league with provincial government was taking measures for the rehabilitation of earthquake hit people of Awaran. Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had announced Rupees four billion during his visit to Awaran. Two bill of this would be provided by federal government and remaining two billion y provincial government.
This he said while distributing cheques among 14 affected families at Governor House here Wednesday. Each family was given a cheque of Rupees 88 thousand.
Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, Minister of State Baleeghuz Zaman, Senior provincial minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, provincial ministers and MPAs were also present.
Remaining cheques would be given to affectees at their doorsteps in Awaran he said adding remaining money would be paid in two instalments. Total amount comes to Rupees 2.2 lakhs he added.
Federal Minister Lt General (R ) Abdul Qadir Baloch informed Finance minister of details of earthquake hit people in Mashkel. He aid these affectees have not receive any assistance yet. He told that 4500 houses have been destroyed in the area and People are awaiting assistance.
