Liaqat Baloch meets Governor

QUETTA: Gwadar-Kashgar Economic Corridor would not only create economic stability in the region but hundreds of thousand s people would get employment opportunities.

This was stated by Balochistan Governor Mohammad Khan Achakzai while speaking to Secretary General Jamaat Islami Liaqat Baloch who called on him here Monday. Amir JI Balochistan Abdul Mateen Akhundzada was also present.

Governor said self accountability is basis of activity and goodness of any system so that transparent use of development funds is ensured.

Governor said present coalition provincial government was actively working to develop fishery sector on modern lines and welfare of fishermen.

He called upon Ulema to teach masses lesson of mutual respect and tolerance. He said Islam is religion of stability and while following Islamic teachings we must respect each other’s points of view.

Governor stressed the need that building highways occupies significance for national progress and prosperity of people. He aid building road form Zhob and Loralai to Dera Ghazi Khan would help remove backwardness of the area and benefit them from modern facilities produces of the and goods prepared here would have access to markets outside the province.

He said Balochistan population is small and scattered and thus access to the people and monitoring of development projects has several difficulties. Governor said newly elected local bodies institutions can play important role and assistance of newly elected people’s representatives can be sought for monitoring development process.

Answering a question governor Achakzai said Iran is our neighbor and Islamic Country and we have economic and commercial relations with it and serious efforts were being made for further improving these ties. He expressed that policies and measures of the present government would have far reaching impacts.
