QUETTA: Jamhoori Watan Party elected Shah Zain Bugti as interim President. New elections of the party would be held at the Central Council Session on august 16.
This was stated by central Organising Committee Chief Noorullah Watan Dost, Central Spokesman Chaudhry Naveed at an emergency Press conference at Bugti House here Wednesday.
They said that JWP Central Organising Committee and Provincial presidents held a detailed meeting here last night. Besides other matters it also discussed falling vacant office of President in the death of Talal Bugti.
They said Nawab Akbar Bugti founded the party in 1990 and it remained active till 2006 in a democratic manner. After his martyrdom his son Talal Bugti not only kept the party active form 2006 till 2015.
They said Central Organizing Committee unanimously decided that central elections of the party area schedule on August 16. Till then Shah Zain Bugti was elected as Interim president.
They said elections would be held on august 16 and new office bearers would be elected for two year term.
They hoped that shah Zain would also run the party on the patter as Nawab Akbar Bugti and Talal Bugti made it effective and active.
